- Introduction
ISOTAP series and F-CAST are ceramic fiber based monolithic refractories. ISOTAP series are available on tapping and F-CAST is fit for casting. Compared with other ceramic fiber products, ISOTAP series and F-CAST have extra high strength due to refractory filler added, and moldability due to binder and viscous material added. Their bulk density after drying ranges around 500~1100kg/m3.
Two types of monolithic refractories are available; one is a dry type; the other is a water bearing wet type for straight use.
Those monolithic refractories have many uses for the insulation of petroleum heating furnaces, hot air duct and cooling water pipes in reheating furnaces.
- Typical applications
- Ladle cover
- Skid pipe insulation of reheating furnace
- Aluminum melting crucible furnace back-up insulation
- Hot air duct insulation
- Other general heat insulation
